Whether you are taking your first breath beneath the surface, refining your skills, or setting out to explore the house reef, the team helps you discover the ocean with confidence, care and curiosity.

Finger Point

Just 30 minutes from Eri, Finger Point is a small thila with a big reputation. Connected to Himmaya Faru by a narrow sandy bridge, this oval-shaped formation stretches into the Makunudu channel and is known as one of the northwest’s shark magnets.

Grey reef sharks are often seen here in impressive numbers, with sightings of silvertips and the occasional hammerhead adding to the thrill. Rays also pass through the channel, making every dive feel full of anticipation.

Lucky Rock

A 20-minute boat ride from Eri, Lucky Rock rises near the western edge of North Malé Atoll. This large pinnacle draws huge schools of fusiliers, snappers and red-tooth triggerfish, creating a lively underwater scene from the moment you descend.

A small tunnel invites divers to swim through, where sweetlips, soldierfish and groupers shelter in the shadows. Look closely among the reef, and you may spot a perfectly camouflaged leaf fish. Curious batfish often drift nearby, adding a playful touch to the dive.

Madigaa

Located outside Reethi Rah, Madigaa is around 45 minutes from Eri. Along the reef slope, coral blocks create natural gathering places for lobsters, groupers, sweetlips, snappers and moray eels.

Napoleon wrasse and eagle rays cruise along the outer reef, while stingrays move across the sandy floor with white-tip reef sharks nearby. It is a rewarding site for divers who love varied marine encounters and gentle reef exploration.

Bodu Hithi Thila

Around 50 minutes from Eri, Bodu Hithi Thila is one of the region’s most loved manta spots during the northeast monsoon from January to April. Mantas visit the cleaning stations at different depths, creating graceful, unforgettable encounters for divers.

They can also be seen feeding close to the surface, making this a wonderful location for snorkelling with mantas. With a little luck, a whale shark may pass through the blue.

Helengeli Thila

A 60-minute journey from Eri brings you to Helengeli Thila, a famous site known for its extraordinary marine life. The northern side features dramatic overhangs and deep pinnacles covered in hard and soft corals.

Bring a torch to reveal the colours hidden beneath the ledges. Currents can be strong, making this a more challenging dive, yet the reward is remarkable: eagle rays, sharks, vast schools of fusiliers and a reef pulsing with life.

Woshimas Thila

Located south of Reethi Rah, around 45 minutes from Eri, Woshimas Thila is one of the area’s best shark points. Sharks are commonly seen on the current side of the thila, while overhangs shelter a rich variety of invertebrates.

The fish life here is spectacular. Tuna, jackfish and barracuda hunt through schools of fusiliers and red-tooth triggerfish. White-tip reef sharks are frequent companions, grey reef sharks are often spotted, and a resident Napoleon wrasse is known to patrol the thila like its quiet guardian.

Kagi Kuda Kandu

This small channel near Kagi Island is approximately 55 minutes from Eri and offers a wonderfully dynamic dive. Divers can swim across and into one of the many channels in the atoll, following eagle rays as they glide through the water.

Moray eels, lobsters and schools of reef fish are often found along the way. As the dive ends, drifting through the channel into the atoll may reveal white-tip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom or nurse sharks tucked beneath coral blocks.

Bird Island

Just 20 minutes from Eri, Bird Island is a beautiful site for both divers and snorkellers. A coral garden plateau and sandbank create a relaxed setting, surrounded by snappers, anemones, fusiliers and the occasional turtle or reef shark.

It is a place to slow down, float gently and take in the soft colours of the reef.

Makunudu Garden

Also, 20 minutes from Eri, Makunudu Garden sits southeast of Makunudu Island’s house reef. Calm conditions and little to no current make this snorkelling site especially inviting.

Glide above the reef and watch for turtles, moray eels, white-tip reef sharks and hundreds of colourful reef fish moving between coral formations.

From gentle snorkelling spots to thrilling shark points, the waters around Eri invite you to experience the Maldives in its most vivid form. With every descent, drift and quiet moment above the reef, the ocean reveals something new, a flash of colour, a graceful shadow, a memory that lingers long after you return to shore.
